Natural Menopause – part 1
Flushes, weight gain, anxiety, emotional, exhausted, flooding, sugar cravings and many other distressing symptoms seem to be part of menopause.
No wonder women dread or fear this phase of life and menopause is considered a ‘disease’ by professionals and women.
So much of how we respond to menopause is down to a combination of genetics and previous self-care and general health, which can leave you feeling helpless to know how to cope.
Are you suffering right now?
I completely understand why so many women reach for HRT or even surgery to cope with their personal menopause hell.
In clinic my job is to support women with their health no matter what form of medication they decide is right for them. I always suggest you bless the medication for being there to help you; be it a simple herb or strong medication.
Over the next few articles I am going to share everything I have found helpful as an herbalist and naturopath to guide you through your menopause with some natural support.
If you are at breaking point with menopause symptoms right now
Try Natural Progesterone Cream (also known as bioidentical progesterone) before you reach for HRT as research shows the body is less likely to react negatively.
I suggest this one HERE
If you are on HRT but really struggling (some women do have side-effects) then again consider transitioning to Natural progesterone cream (above)
Natural progesterone cream needs to be massaged into the skin twice a day as it is better absorbed through the skin than via the stomach. Natural progesterone is not synthetic and so the body recognises it as progesterone.
Natural Health Assessment – why bother?
Even taking hormones like progesterone may not be the complete answer to many of your menopausal symptoms either.
This is because your hormone system is very complex and requires many of your main internal organs to be working well together to allow the hormones to smoothly create the natural changes.
Some of the main organs I assess in menopause include;
Colon; liver; kidneys; adrenals; thyroid; pituitary; ovaries and pancreas.
Bones, heart, skin, and nervous system also are impacted by menopause changes.
All the organs work together as a team within the body, so if one organ is not functioning 100% it puts extra strain on the other organs and our health levels. My work can assess your individual organs and show you simple, natural and effective ways to support them
What I have found over and over again working with many women going through menopause is that most of them have one or two organs that just need some extra support to transform their menopause experience.
Sometimes all you require is a very simple tweak to your lifestyle or diet and some support in making these changes.
Or you may need a daily bespoke herbal formula to support you through a few months to soothe anxiety, encourage restful sleep, or perhaps give you more energy or balance blood sugar cravings.
Menopause does not last for ever and it is one of the very best times to explore natural ways to support yourself through the change.
My Natural Health Assessments are able to assess most of the main organs in your body. I pinpoint which areas of your health need more support to improve overall health levels. The assessments are relaxing and fascinating.
My support is helpful alongside natural progesterone, HRT and for those simply wanting a natural menopause.
